Acknowledgement of Risk

I understand that using an outdoor sauna, cold plunge and associated facilities involves inherent risks.

These may include, but are not limited to:

• Dehydration, dizziness, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke or other heat-related health issues.

• Slips, trips or falls caused by wet, uneven or outdoor surfaces.

• Burns or discomfort from hot surfaces, steam, water, stove areas or sauna fixtures.

• Adverse reactions to heat exposure, cold water immersion or contrast therapy.

• Cold water shock, breathlessness, dizziness or discomfort when using the cold plunge.

I understand that my participation is voluntary and that I use the sauna, cold plunge and wider OKI Sauna facilities at my own risk.

Health and Medical Considerations

I confirm that I am in suitable health to use the sauna and cold plunge.

I understand that sauna use involves exposure to high heat, and cold plunge use involves cold water immersion. These experiences may not be suitable for everyone.

If I am pregnant, have a medical condition, take prescription medication, have recently had surgery or injury, or have any health concerns, I agree to seek advice from my GP or healthcare provider before using the facilities.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Heart conditions or circulatory issues.

• High or low blood pressure.

• Respiratory conditions, including asthma or COPD.

• Epilepsy, seizures or fainting episodes.

• Diabetes.

• Pregnancy.

• Recent surgery, illness or injury.

• Skin conditions, infections or open wounds.

• Any condition that may be affected by heat or cold exposure.

I agree to monitor my own wellbeing throughout the session. If I feel dizzy, faint, unwell, short of breath, overly hot, overly cold or uncomfortable at any time, I will stop using the facilities immediately and inform a member of OKI Sauna staff.

I understand that I may leave the sauna, cold plunge or session at any time.

Safe Sauna Use

I agree to follow all safety guidance provided by OKI Sauna staff.

I understand that sauna use should be taken at my own pace. I will take regular breaks, stay hydrated and avoid remaining in the sauna for longer than feels comfortable.

As a general guide, I understand that sauna rounds are usually limited to around 15-20 minutes at a time, with cooling and rest periods between rounds.

I agree that:

• I will sit on a towel while using the sauna.

• I will keep entrances, exits and walkways clear.

• I will not touch the stove, stones, flue, hot surfaces or any restricted areas.

• I will not pour anything onto the sauna stove unless specifically permitted by OKI Sauna staff.

• I will remove jewellery, watches or other items that may become hot.

• I will behave respectfully towards other guests and staff.

• I will report any unsafe conditions, concerns or incidents to OKI Sauna staff immediately.

Cold Plunge Use

I understand that cold plunge use is optional and that I do not have to use the cold plunge during my session.

If I choose to use the cold plunge, I agree to enter and exit slowly and carefully. I understand that cold water immersion can cause cold water shock, breathlessness, dizziness, numbness or discomfort, particularly for those not used to it.

I agree that:

• I will shower before entering the cold plunge.

• I will enter and exit the cold plunge carefully.

• I will not jump, dive or splash into the cold plunge.

• I will not submerge my head in the cold plunge.

• I will not splash cold plunge water onto my face or into my mouth.

• I will use the cold plunge gradually and at my own pace.

• I will leave the cold plunge immediately if I feel unwell, dizzy, breathless, numb or uncomfortable.

• I will follow any time limits or safety instructions given by OKI Sauna staff.

Water Hygiene

To protect the health and safety of all guests and maintain water quality, I confirm and agree that:

• I have not experienced diarrhoea, vomiting or any gastrointestinal illness within the previous 48 hours.

• I will not use the sauna or cold plunge if I am feeling unwell.

• I will not use the cold plunge if I have a contagious condition, skin infection, uncovered wound, open cut or illness that may affect other guests.

• I will shower before entering the cold plunge tubs.

• I will not introduce any foreign substances into the water.

• I will not use oils, creams, lotions, mud, soaps or other products in the cold plunge.

• I will follow all water hygiene instructions given by OKI Sauna staff.

Failure to follow water hygiene rules may result in removal from the session without refund.

Prohibited Items and Behaviour

For the safety and comfort of all guests, I agree that I will not:

• Use the sauna or cold plunge while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance that may impair judgement.

• Consume alcohol during the session.

• Smoke or vape inside the sauna or restricted areas.

• Bring glass containers into or around the sauna, cold plunge or wet areas.

• Run, push, jump or behave in a way that could endanger myself or others.

• Touch or interfere with the stove, plunge equipment, water systems or restricted areas.

• Use oils, fragrances, creams, lotions or other substances in the sauna or cold plunge unless approved by OKI Sauna.

• Take photos or videos of other guests without their clear consent.

• Behave in an aggressive, unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate manner.

Failure to follow these rules may result in refusal of entry or removal from the session without refund.

Age Restrictions

Guests must be aged 16 or over to attend communal sauna sessions.

Guests aged 12-15 may only use the sauna and cold plunge facilities as part of a private or family booking, and must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over at all times.

Guests under the age of 12 are not permitted to use the sauna or cold plunge facilities.

The responsible adult accepts full responsibility for:

• Supervising the young person's safety and behaviour.

• Ensuring they follow all OKI Sauna rules and staff guidance.

• Ensuring they use the sauna, cold plunge and facilities appropriately and safely.

• Deciding whether the young person is suitable to take part.

OKI Sauna reserves the right to refuse access or ask a guest to stop using the facilities if staff believe participation is unsuitable, unsafe or disruptive.

Group Bookings

If I am booking on behalf of a group, I accept responsibility for ensuring that every participant has read, understood and agreed to this waiver before attending.

I agree to make all participants aware of the sauna rules, cold plunge guidance, health considerations, age restrictions and site safety information.

I understand that OKI Sauna may refuse entry to any participant who has not agreed to the waiver or who does not meet the safety requirements.

Personal Belongings

I understand that I am responsible for my own belongings while visiting OKI Sauna.

OKI Sauna and Wellness Limited is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items, including clothing, jewellery, phones, watches, glasses, bags or valuables.

I agree to take all personal belongings with me after my session.

Any lost property may be kept temporarily where possible, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Facilities and Site Conditions

I understand that OKI Sauna is an outdoor coastal sauna experience and that conditions may vary depending on the weather, temperature, wind, rain and surrounding environment.

I agree to take care when moving around the site, particularly in wet, cold, dark or uneven areas.

I understand that toilets are available onsite.

I understand that towel hire is not available and that I am responsible for bringing everything I need for my session, including:

• Swimwear.

• Two towels.

• Suitable footwear.

• Water.

• Warm clothing for after the session, where needed.

Sea Swimming Disclaimer

If I choose to swim in the sea before, during or after my OKI Sauna session, I understand that I do so entirely at my own risk.

I understand that OKI Sauna does not supervise sea swimming, does not provide lifeguard services and does not accept responsibility for sea conditions, tides, currents, water quality, weather, cold water shock or any incident connected to sea swimming.

If I choose to enter the sea, I confirm that I am a competent swimmer and that I am capable of assessing the conditions for myself.

Right to Refuse Entry or Remove Guests

OKI Sauna reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any guest from the session if staff believe that the guest:

• Is unwell or appears unfit to participate.

• Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

• Is behaving unsafely, aggressively or inappropriately.

• Has failed to follow safety instructions.

• Has breached water hygiene rules.

• May pose a risk to themselves, staff or other guests.

In these circumstances, refunds will not usually be provided.

Liability Waiver

By accepting this waiver, I agree to release and discharge OKI Sauna and Wellness Limited, its directors, staff, contractors, agents and affiliates from liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage, claim or expense arising from my participation, except where caused by negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Injury or illness connected to sauna use, heat exposure or cold water immersion.

• Slips, trips, falls or burns.

• Adverse health reactions.

• Loss, theft or damage of personal belongings.

• Incidents connected to sea swimming or activities outside the supervised OKI Sauna facilities.

• Failure to follow safety guidance or staff instructions.

Confirmation of Agreement

By proceeding with my booking, ticking the waiver acceptance checkbox, submitting a waiver form or attending a session, I confirm that:

• I have read and understood this waiver.

• I understand the risks associated with sauna use, cold plunge use and outdoor facilities.

• I am in suitable health to participate.

• I will follow all OKI Sauna safety rules and staff instructions.

• I accept responsibility for my own participation and wellbeing.

• I understand that I may stop using the facilities at any time.

• I understand that OKI Sauna may refuse access or remove guests where safety rules are not followed.
